Blockchain spying has become a serious concern in the last few years. To address this issue, a team of privacy activists have launched Samourai BTC Mobile Wallet, an open-source project best known for its claims of providing a high level of privacy, reducing the chances of transactions or funds being frozen and the ability to be remotely retrieved or swiped.

Though currently running on Android alpha release, Samourai Wallet for mobile already provides impressive features such us Tor and VPN support, BIP 47 and Ricochet platforms, remote SMS commands, instant currency conversion or running the wallet in stealth mode. Nevertheless, the feature that seems to arouse most interest is the option of pushing transactions through users' own trusted nodes.

Known as the "privacy-focused" wallet, Samurai is undoubtedly best suited for users who deeply care for the privacy of their crypto transactions. Its design is intuitive and transactions are easy to carry out, but the numerous features and the fact that is still in alpha testing make it mainly for advanced users.

Summary:

Samourai Wallet is most appealing for those seeking anonymity. There are various features that allow the user control over how their transaction is verified on the blockchain and how it is recorded. Most of the privacy features are unnecessary and too technical for the average user. Best suited to die hard privacy activists.
