OmniWallet is a hybrid web wallet, you have the option to host it on your own computer, or use their hosted online version, both of which work in the same way. Omni wallet doesn't have a lot of other features it is purpose built to store the Omni currrency. This wallet will only develop as the popularity of the currency develops.

OnmiWallet offers limited functionality, you can only trade and store BTC and Omni. There is a lot of space to develop more options. The Omni coin is forked from LeafCoin which is forked from Litecoin. It will be interesting to see how this coin develops in the future.

The Omni ecosystem seems to be largely abandoned by its developers. It has been some time since their were any updates. If you are still interested in investing in the OmniCoin then the OmniWallet is an option. Both the desktop and online version offer limited functionality. Although they have developed multi-factor authentication there is no disaster protocol.
