CoinVault is a web wallet supporting multiple cryptocurrencies. The aim of Coinvault is to offer a centralized, easy to use wallet with privacy and secure storage for numerous altcoins and make trading and storing cryptocurrency simple and user-friendly for non-tech savvy users. The wallet platform is still in beta stage.

The CoinVault wallet platform allows users to store various altcoins, access them anywhere and anytime and withdraw them instantly. Users also have the chance to add separate wallets for multiple Cryptocurrencies. Currently, there is no maximum wallet capacity but at some point, there will be a small fee on transaction capacity.

The CoinVault wallet platform is part of SoftChains Ltd, a company registered in the UK which was was founded by Dan Gershony, an experienced Microsoft development engineer. The main declared goal of CoinVault is to make Cryptocurrencies very easy and simple to use for users with no technical background in hopes of increasing the popularity of Cryptocurrencies.

Security seems to play a pivotal role but is managed mostly through traditional security methodes such as SSL , AES encryption. A wallet backup is created every time the user updates their password. Also, a mnemonic code is provided to easily import user coins to other wallets.

The user has a 'root key', 'recovery phrase' or 'word seed' that can be used to regenerate private keys.
